The lambskin insoles are unfortunately treated with some chemicals, as there is no other way to achieve a safe baby product from the raw hide. However the chemicals used are not toxic nor harmful to the wearer nor harmful to the environment through the production process.

We are very selective with our suppliers and we have a long standing relationship with the company that makes this insole. Amongst other certification they hold for their systems, they have the ISO 14001 which is an independent assessment on their environmental impact. They also hold certification that demonstrates their products are suitable for use as baby articles. 

We do not allow our suppliers to make any items for us that contain or have been made using harmful chemicals.
