UPDATED SLEEPING BAGS

We have changed our sizing on sleeping bags to comply to an updated standard - you will probably notice the neckline size has reduced from previous years - we have also added a popper and changed the swing ticket.

This is inline with an updated standard we must comply to if we are to sell them.

We have put together an FAQ which is saved in Garment Tech & QC on Intranet, and put training on Nimble.

TOG

The term TOG stands for ‘Thermal Overall Grade’, which is a measurement used to calculate the thermal insulation of a product, we usually see it on sleeping bags and duvets.

At JoJo we use this measurement on our sleeping bags to classify their warmth and this is tested independently to give us an accurate grade as guidance for our customer.

SLEEPY SAC

These are a cross between a sleeping bag and a hip healthy swaddle. They are designed for newborns up to 6 months and can be worn in a cot or crib without extra bedding. Customers should always check their child’s temperature and comfort.

SWADDLE

Swaddles are designed to be worn by newborns. Wrapping a very little baby can help them feel safe and secure which can in turn can help them to sleep. By wrapping up their arms and legs, they are also less likely to be disturbed by a startle reflex.

They are mostly single layer jersey fabric, however the wrap around designs may have additional layers to the front or back depending on how it is designed and worn therefore it is impossible to advise an accurate TOG rating.

Customers should always check their child’s temperature and comfort.

Remember, whilst these are suitable from birth, they must not be used once a baby can roll over.
