Some of our knits include small percentages of the highest quality man-made fibres, these help the knitwear maintain its shape and ensure it is hardwearing and long lasting, it also helps our super soft knits to be suitable for machine washing (following the wash care instructions).  

We sell a very large number of our knits and have tested them extensively over the past 20 years plus we test each new design. We test all our garments to ensure they can be machine washed on a delicate 30-degree wool wash without damage or shrinkage. 

It is important to remind customers to also use a specialised wool washing detergent to ensure the garment does remain as beautiful as we have designed it.  Our mix of yarns has been developed specially to ensure they are soft and child friendly as well as machine washable. The items are not faulty and we do not need to log a QC ticket for it.
