Although there is suggested guidance around longer plush fur there is no actual legal standard, shedding is not considered a risk. Long pile is available on the market all over and this lion is sold in more than just our stores. 

We have spoken to the supplier and they have shown us all their testing on the item, it is fully tested and safe to use from birth. 

They firmly believe it is fine to use, especially as the longer plush is a small area. 

We have decided to continue selling this line so please ensure it on put out on the shop floor, however we will continue to monitor it and potentially swap it out going forwards. 

If you receive a complaint please do log a QC ticket and we will manage the customer. 

Please be assured that any plush that could possibly be swallowed is safe and should pass through with no harm.
